Top Eleven ‘Hit List’

These species have been all identified in parts of our County…The County is managing them on our right of ways within the budget that is allowed. The top 8 species must be controlled to prevent the maturation of the plant propagating parts and/or seed set. The remaining 3 are deemed as invasive species and landowners who wish to maintain self-sustaining native habitats should consider controlling them.”

Top Ten Neighborhood ‘Watch List’

Biocontrol Information (available for Leafy Spurge, Spotted Knapweed, Purple Loosestrife)

“The County recommends the use of this control measure if the infestation is larger than ½ acre in size, the area will not see active mowing or disturbances, and if the owner does not want to use any chemical means to control the spread of propagating parts. To date 3 locations within the County have had bio-agents released for spotted knapweed and 3 for leafy spurge.
